Lillian’s one of the founding Partners of the firm. Lilian’s major focus areas are in the fields of Banking and Securities, Insurance Law and Land Law. Lilian also takes charge of the company secretarial work in the Firm and sits on meetings of Board of Directors of companies for which the firm acts as company secretary.

Lilian also served as Legal manager to a leading foreign bank in Uganda where she was exposed to the structuring of a variety of financing transactions and the operation of different financing instruments.

Lilian started out in Nyanzi, Kiboneka & Mbabazi Advocates in 2006 where she was exposed to a great deal of corporate and commercial transactions as well as litigation assignments.

She then transitioned to Global Trust Bank where she rose to the position of Legal Manager. At Global Trust, she developed and horned her skills and experience in Financial, Banking and Commercial Law, areas of practice she has specialised in.

Lilian co-founded Kiiza and Kwanza Advocates in 2009 where she is currently the point person on Banking and Financial law related matters.  She has been and is also currently involved in performance of due diligence assignments, legal and compliance audits for various commercial clients and notably also advising over five (5) local, regional and international banks and their clients operating in the Ugandan market on various aspects of receivership, security perfection and realization, corporate and project financing among others.
